Gardening Trip

Timebankers in Efford with the help of our Outreach Worker Zoe, have made the most of the sunshine throughout September and enjoyed a number of walks around the local area; including the local cemetery and community orchard to name a couple. However, due to Covid-19 there were not many places were they could stop to enjoy a coffee and a chat like they used to at Efford Library, so they decided to plan an outing.

There are a number of garden lovers in Efford and they thought it would be nice to take a trip to Crownhill Garden Centre where they could browse the flowers, plants, pots and water features before sitting down in the outdoor covered café to have a hot drink and a catch up.

Zoe said “This was a really wonderful way to spend our time together, each person being able to wander off through the foliage to find something ‘just right’ for their garden or make a wish list and enough space for us to socially distance safely”.
