Ernesettle Allotment

At the beginning of the Summer holidays and going to the allotment for a community day and seeing how badly overgrown it was, Timebank members along with the local community were asked to help tidy it up.

The grass was waist height, hedges overgrown and garden waste had been dumped on the site.

It was a lovely day with temperatures in the mid 20’s and everyone seemed eager to start.

To start off the event a safety talk was given by a Timebank member and also a brief outline of the tasks needed to be done.

Everyone set to different tasks which included strimming, hedge cutting, making stakes to mark the plots out and to re-measure the plots.

To end the day and say a big thank you to all those who helped we had a a BBQ, which was cooked by a Timebank member.
